Zeiss Ikon Ikonta M 524/16 W/ Novar 75mm 1:3.5 & Case
Mess Ikonta, 120 film 6×6 medium format rangefinder. The camera will need a service to work properly.
The camera is functional; shutter is working, but slow speeds from 1/1-1/10 are sticky, ‘B’ works. Shutter blades are clean and aperture setting work without fault. Focusing is smooth. Viewfinder is fairly clean, no haze. Rangefinder is clear and contrasty but need vertical adjustment. Film transport seems to work well, but camera is not tested with film. All buttons, levers, and knobs work well.
The lens has good glass; clean and clear with no fungus, haze or separation. A few specks of dust on the inside element, but no issue for image quality.
Cosmtically the camera is in very nice condition (see images); very modest wear, no dents, dings, or other damage.
The case is broken (see image).
What to expect
When buying from me you should have high expectations. I aim to sell high quality products, with service to follow. My stock is used and vintage camera equipment, mostly lenses, but also cameras and other related gear. I will describe each item as well as i can according to my knowledge. I am not a camera expert, i have no technical skills, but i have seen and used lots of camera gear. As they say; a little dust is to be expected. Everything else i will try to describe. I aim to sell proper gear to satisfied customers.
Logisitics
I have a great deal of experience with selling items online. Handling and packing of your item will be done in a professional manner. I use Postnord (Swedish post). Registered Mail 2 000 (content value max. SEK 2,000) or Registered Mail 10 000 (content value max. SEK 10,000). Tracked and insured. When sending outside the EU, i will enclose special customs documentation, staing what is in the parcel and it’s correct value. I will not handle any further customs clearance. To make it easy my postage fees are flat rate, usually 10 to anywhere in the world, this may sometimes be reflected in the asking price, many items are 20-25 in real postage.
Responsibility
I take full responsibility that my listings are as advertised. My descriptions are done using common sense and some knowledge of the subject, but the objects are old and opinions may differ. Please take into account that the images are a substantial part of the description. All images are of the object on sale and taken by me. I am in no position to offer returns unless something is clearly wrong in the way the item was described, in other words; no open returns. If something is clearly wrong, I will make it right.
