MF-1 has been tested:
Winds, focus’ and shoots well, self timer and flash good.
I found the battery compartment full with a heavily corroded/leaked battery inside, it has been removed and the compartment cleaned. It is now in good order considering the leak, the terminals are clean, there are still signs of the leak on the plastic but can be cleaned further.
There are marks to the bottom corner of the film door, once opened this carries on inside, the sprung catch was stiff but is now reasonably free, it should clean up further and would benefit from a drop of oil.
The most notable problem inside is the foam seal, it has started to break down and is tacky to the touch. There is rust to the metal areas of the strap.
Comes cased in good order.
Auto focus:
Winds, focus’ and shoots well. The auto timer is not functioning properly, it has to be returned to its end position mannualy (pushed), but does then shoot.
The flash does charge but doesn’t fire, possible bulb fault.
Inside the foam seal has started to break down and is tacky to the touch.
Comes cased in good order with lens cap.
