The Yashica-Mat 124 was released in February 1968. It takes 120 or 220 film. It features quick and easily visible aperture and speed setting by thumb wheels which display the readings in a small window above the top lens. This example has the highly favoured Yashinon lenses top and bottom. The taking lens is f/3.5 and the viewing lens f/3.2 (for a brighter view and easier focussing). It has a Copal MXV shutter with speeds from 1 sec to 1/500 plus B and it has XM flash syncronisation.Although this camera is currently in non-working condition it is worth getting it overhauled. Mark Hama in USA currently charges US$195 for this service. I’ve had a number of cameras overhauled by Mark and they come back looking like new. He’s a wizard!In mint working condition this camera would be worth AUD$450. If it had also had the Mark Hama service it would be worth an extra AUD$200. So I would be listing at AUD$650. However, today this camera is being listed as non-working which is reflected in the parts-value price. (I recently sold a 124 lens/shutter assembly with Yashikor lenses for $150)Serial # 8081460
