The Yashica LM TLR was first released in 1956 and was sold for two years as a premium model as it was one of the first TLR with a built-in exposure meter.

This delightful Yashica has a working Copal MX shutter on all speeds, a Yashinon 80mm f/3.5 taking lens, and a Yashinon f/3.5 viewing lens. Of course, the “LM” stands for Light Meter, referring to the uncoupled selenium cell exposure meter in front of the viewfinder. It’s an all-mechanical camera; even the light meter doesn’t need a battery and is still giving readings.

The leaf shutter has speeds ranging from 1/300 second down to 1 second, and Bulb. The aperture has 5 curved blades and stops down to a minimum of f/22. The 4-element Yashinon taking lenses also has a maximum aperture of f/3.5, while the Yashinon viewing lens also opens up to f/3.5.

Internally, the Yashica LM and all the other 66 Yashicas are much more closely related to the Rolleicord models. The Yashica LM takes 120 roll film and makes square 66 centimeter images (really more like 56 millimeters wide by 57 millimeters high). The viewfinder is of the waist-level variety like most twin-lens reflex cameras.

The camera is supplied with its original Yashica ever-ready carry case

Tested and working on all apertures and shutter speeds, the camera remains in very good working and cosmetic condition. The viewing mirror for the top finder lens has a few dust spots, but still works well. The taking lens is clear with only very minor dust. The leatherette on one side has come loose and needs to be re-stitched.

The camera and case also comes with A Yashica Twin Lens Reflex Guide.
