Wood hand cranked 35mm moviecamera Bioscope Darling Williamson parts These are parts taken from awood hand cranked camera that was badly damaged and had dry rot from being inthe South for many years. The wood wasnt recoverable. The camera movement will be ondisplay in the Academy museum in Hollywood when it opens. The camera was made by AlfredDarling sometime before 1909. He made cameras George Albert Smith around 1898.He made cameras for sale to the public by Williamson and Charles Urban and sold them himself. There are two complete drivemechanisms for film magazines including pulleys. These mate up with twocomplete feed and take-up film box drive mechanisms. There is one extra pulley. One very rare clear viewingwindow for the frames per second counter. Slightly yellowed due to being over ahundred years old. Brass adapter for the leathercarrying handle. These were different on some of the cameras mention above.
Two brass inserts that gowhere the crank enters the camera. These protect the wood from damage whenputting the crank on and off the camera. One has the little arrow that tellsyou which way to crank the camera.
