Welta Weltini II with 5cm f2 Xenon -nice but has issues, please read
Welta Weltini II vintage rangefinder camera, dating from 1938, with the desirable Schneider Xenon 5cm f2 lens.
The camera is in good overall cosmetic condition with some minor signs of use and age. Some of the black-painted body trim has been retouched/repainted at some point in the past. This is only a cosmetic issue and it has been done neatly. The lens looks clean with no haze or fungus. As with all older lenses some dust particles may be present.
The camera has some issues that will require attention:
1) The viewfinder/rangefinder works but the view shows some patchy marks, and a bit of image loss in the top left corner. I suspect that the prism is separating. This will need repair in order to restore full viewing clarity. Also, the rangefinder could do with some adjustment.
2) The shutter works but is hesitant at slow speeds and will need a service.
3) There are some small areas of paint flaking in the film chamber which will require retouching.
Due to the above issues the camera is being sold as-is for parts/repair. The camera will be carefully packed for shipping. Any questions -please ask!
