VOIGTLANDER VITRONA The First Camera with a Built-InElectronic Flash – Boxed
The Vitrona was the worlds first camera to have abuilt-in electronic flashgun. It had the batteries & capacitorsin a special hand grip. It was developed from the 1961 Vito C range &the Vitrona appeared in 1964. This was much too late for the market &very few were sold.
This model has the tallertop plate to house the big viewfinder, which with its brightlineframe is a pleasure to use. These viewfinders can suffer frominternal breakdown but this one is perfect. There is a light in thebottom to show when the flash is ready.
Thelens is a Color Lanthar 50mm f2.8 (early Vito Bs only had the f3.5version). It has minor cleaning marks only visible under closeinspection, & should not affect picture taking. The body no. is520636.
Theshutter is a Prontor 300-V with speeds from 30-300. This runs sweetlyat every speed. Apertures are f2.8-22 plus a flash setting.
Thepistol grip bayonets onto the body & locks in place. Usuallythese pistol grips have damage to the plastic, but this one isperfect. The connections for the batteries inside do not have anycorrosion. I have not tested the flash/batteries as I presume youneed a special battery that is probably no longer available.
Thecamera is in near mint condition with no knocks or dents.
