VOIGTLANDERPERKEO E Rare Rangefinder Model
This is theuncommon Voigtlander Perkeo E made in Germany from 1954. It takes 12pictures on 120 rollfilm that is available today. The Perkeo Eoffered a built-in rangefinder over & above the Perkeo 1 & 2.
The Vaskar80mm f4.5 coated lens is set in a Pronto shutter. It is opticallyexcellent & focuses to 3.5 feet. (Lens number 4111535). It is setin a 4 speed Pronto shutter 25-200 plus B, & with delayed action.This runs sweetly at all speeds.
Theuncoupled rangefinder is bright & contrasty. You take the readingfrom the top dial, & focus the lens accordingly.
The shutterbutton is locked against double exposures, & an arrow appears inthe top plate window to tell you when to wind on.
The camerais in overall excellent condition. However there is a little lighttarnishing on the top plate between the shutter button & theflash shoe. Otherwise it is near mint. I have tried to show it in thephotos.
It comeswith its lovely original case & instructions (dated 1956).
