*** VINTAGE SAWYER’S VIEW-MASTER STEREO COLOR CAMERA ***
MADE IN GERMANY BY SAWYER’S AND DATES TO AROUND THE 1960’s. THESE ARE BECOMING INCREASINGLY RARE AS THEY ARE SUCH STUNNING CAMERAS WITH A GREAT UNIQUE DESIGN. THE CAMERA CASE WAS MADE IN WEST GERMANY.
Sawyers Viewmaster Stereo Colour Camera. Also comes with its original Viewmaster brown carry case with original strap still present, designed specifically for use with this camera.
Made in Germany, all mechanical / manual control (no electronics) very robust. 1:2.8/20mm twin lenses. Creates stunning stereo pair images on regular 36mm film. Untested with film but looks in fantastic shape and all operations seem to be working fine. There is actually very little that can go wrong with these camera’s. We have owned several over the years and not one has had any issues.
In very good original condition with just minor wear to the camera body (minor scratches and scuffs, and would benefit from a deep clean). The leather panel to the back has started to come away just very slightly at the bottom edge and to the corners. No major damage anywhere, in great original shape.
The case is good overall, but has wear (scuffs and minor marks) throughout, and has some stitching missing from around the bottom. It still holds the camera very well though.
Great condition given its age and rarity! These are highly collectible!
