For auction today is a vintage and collectible Kodak No.1 pocket bellows folding camera dating between 1926-1932, this unusual aspect of this camera it has reddish/pinkish bellows and is larger than the usual type. The camera was made in USA by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester N.Y and to the side of the case is embossed the No. “103317.” The camera itself overall is in good condition, the leather/leatherette covering is good but some age and usage wear, and parts of the covering is coming away in places and needs to be stuck down. The square viewfinder, over the lens, can move back and forward, the red bellows look ok but cannot guarantee they have no microscopic holes and do show a little wear to surface. The front brass coloured plate is marked with “Made by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester USA Pocket automatic,” lower down is a brass coloured trimmed plate stamped with “No.1 folding pocket Kodak Made in USA by Eastman Kodak Co. Rochester N.Y. just above this is the shutter lever which works well. To open the camera to allow the lens and bellows to come out, press lever downwards, located just over the back plate and pull out manually. The leather case has wear to surface but overall in nice used condition, the stitching is good and has a simple but effective locking system. The camera has not been tested with a film, therefore, cannot say it will work as it should, but is a good display model and collectible.
