Vintage Kodak BrownieStandard 8 Cine Camera Wind-up Mechanism Thisclever little movie camera was purchased in Aden in 1963 by my Grandmother whowas on her way to Australia by boat. It gave very good service for threedecades and we have some wonderful vintage memories on film.
Thecasing is made from good quality grey plastic which has stood the test of time.Inside is complete with the receiving spool for the film. I remember that thespool had to be turned (in the dark) when full for the other side to be used. Theexposed film was then sliced in two during processing to create the reel forthe projector.
Thecamera is very simple to operate. A dial on the front changes the aperturedepending on the brightness of the day strictly outdoor filming only. A gaugeon the side tells you how many feet of film you have left to run you need toremember if the reel has already been turned otherwise you will end up withdual exposure! The winder on the opposite side is the power supply like adynamo wind up the spring to give a decent length of running time but dontoverwind or that will be the end of it all! Press the grey lever under the lensand you are making movies! The sound it makes is just magic!
Thelast time we had a film in here this camera was in very good working order. Itis in very good used condition and now looking for a new and caring home. The original instruction book is included.
