Circa 1960 Vintage Eumig C3M Movie Camera with case and accessories. This movie camera belonged to my late father in law and was a high end camera in it’s time.
In it’s time, it was a first-class precision cine camera.
Rock solid build quality. Things are just not built like this any more.
It has an instant change three lens turret with central focusing, a powerful clockwork motor and an adjustable 1:1 viewfinder. It has a built in photo-electric exposure meter that is coupled to aperture control with a needle visible in the viewfinder. It records in 8mm format (Double 8) and uses a 16mm wide film.
Double 8 film was 16 mm, on a reel, which you had to turn over after half time. Then at processing, the film was developed and split into two 8mm strips and spliced. You can still buy the double 8 film required for this camera from specialist suppliers, but please take advice from specialist suppliers before buying the type of film you need for this camera.
The accessories and the case that you see in the pictures are included in the sale. This camera cost 54 in 1961!
The original instruction book is also included.
