Vintage Camera Braun Paxette II M
A family inheritance.  I’m afraid I don’t really know that much about vintage cameras, but I’ll try to describe it as best I can, though I probably don’t know how to test all of it properly.  I think it was made in Germany in the 1950s.  For more information, see here:
http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Paxette
The camera is in very good condition for its age, with slight signs of wear and use, but no major dents or scratches.  It’s fairly clean, with just a little dirt in some corners.  The textured covering is complete, intact, and well attached, though looking a little worn in places, and the brightwork is in good condition, with just a few spots of tarnishing.
The lens is a little dusty on the front glass, but I can’t see any cracks, chips, or scratches.  Focus is working smoothly, and the aperture iris is also smooth.  The rangefinder is working well, though rather dim, and seems to read about right, though I haven’t precisely checked it.  The shutter fires on all speeds, which look and sound about right, though the delayed action timer doesn’t, and fires the shutter immediately.
The screw at the bottom is a bit corroded, but undoes easily to release the back, which slides off easily.  Inside is clean and tidy, with some signs of wear, the hinged pressure plate is OK.  The film winding mechanism seems to be working, including the picture counter (note that it uses a double stroke mechanism, i.e. you have to move the winding lever twice for each picture).  Please note that I haven’t actually taken pictures with this camera.
The original leather case is rather worn, and shows signs of having been repaired in the past, though it needs repairing again – the stitching at the top is coming apart, and the red velvet lining is coming away.  The leather strap is worn, but usable.  There is a nameplate on the back, but the printing is completely worn away.
Payment in 2 days, please, and happy bidding!
