This classic camera dates from around 1960/1 and is in good cosmetic condition, however, the shutter blind does not fully return after taking a shot but can be manually returned which of course means successful photographs cannot be taken. I imagine a competent camera engineer could correct this fault and also the problem with the mirror not always dropping back.
As a result of the above this camera is being sold as “NOT WORKING” but is still ideal for collectors of period cameras.
The Takumar lens appears to be in good condition and unlike later SLR lenses where they had a preview button this lens matches the selected aperture to the users view and the slider on the side of the lens temporarily opens the aperture to maximum, (F2.2 in this case), to allow more light in.
There is no hot shoe but there are two sockets allowing for a Focal Plane flash or an electronic flash.
The Two-Part case is of leather with wear markings (see pictures) and the strap is attached to the case and is non-removable. There are fastenings on the sides of the camera to allow for a strap or cord to be attached to the camera when not using the case.
