Vintage GAF Ansco Autoset CdS Camera Rokkor 45mm f2.8 with cap & case. This non-rangefinder scale focus viewfinder model was first introduced 1965 replacing earlier model that had selenium cell and rangefinder focus. Very likely the camera as well as lens were actually made by Minolta but unusually there appears to have been no equivalent model in maker’s own name branded camera range.
On Auto setting and on Bulb the shutter trips almost exactly the same (guess about 1/8 to 1/4 second) with aperture wide open both with and without 1.35v or 1.5v cell. Have read it might need a 3v cell which I do not have. I strongly suspect the cadmium sulfide meter does not work – for this sale please assume this camera is not working. Some light signs of age & use – same for cap & case.
