A very nice looking 1940s piece – the vintage Bell & Howell “Sportster Double Run Eight” 8mm cine film camera. Solid metal body and it is/was clockwork (wind-up).
Lovely curves, great details, and the lens is a Taylor, Taylor & Hobson Mytal Anastigmat 0.5 inch.
IMPORTANT : Camera is in good clean condition, but is not running. You can wind it up, although it is very stiff, but nothing happens when shutter is pressed. Sold for spares / repair / prop / display item only with STRICTLY NO RETURNS. Comes with original case – the clasp is rusted and has broken off the leather of the case (see pictures).
