VERY RARE ERAC MERCURY PISTOL CAMERA 1938 No3
This is the third erac camera I have for sale.
The Erac Mercury Pistol Camera was manufactured by the E.R.A.C. Selling Co. Ltd. of London England, circa 1938. ERAC = EverReady Automatic Camera. The camera was patented in 1931. It is an unusual shaped and very rare outside of museums.The bakelite camera looks like a pistol. This camera was advertised as “ERAC – the camera, which is always ready, the only real snapshot camera in the world, no film winding, just pull the trigger, the camera does the rest”
Cosmetically the camera looks in good condition but not tested, In view of its age the camera is sold as is with no returns.
