An unusual circular vintage GEC photo-electric exposure meter manufactured by The General Electric Co., and marketed by Johnsons of Hendon in the UK, c1950. It is complete with makers leather case and a box.

The meter has a moving coil movement and a selenium cell. It requires no battery. The meter is scaled in Scheiner film speed rating.

The meter is in excellent cosmetic condition and responding well to light. The case is in good used condition. The box is unmarked so I cannot guarantee that it is original, but looks right and came with the meter. The meter has not been tested for accuracy.

This item is part of a large collection of exposure meters built up over about 50 years and now for sale (see my other items). Please read the descriptions and look at the photographs. Most are in working order. Their cosmetic and functional condition has been described as best possible but they have not been tested for accuracy. Cds and Selenium cells often lose sensitivity with age, therefore these exposure meters are sold as collectors items. if found to be usable this is a bonus.

Buyer pays postage which will be 4.00 to the UK, 10.95 to the EU, and 13.50 to the rest of the world. Payment can be by Paypal, or personal cheque in GBP only.
