UncommonCERTO SUPER DOLLINA1938with Fast XENON f2
This is areally nice example of the classic Certo Super Dollina, made inGermany from 1938-50. It is the sought after top of the range F2Xenon model with Compur Rapidshutter.
The lens isthe famous Schneider Xenon 50mm f2 & is known for its superbperformance. This is lovely & clean & free from scratches orfungus. The shutter is also the top version, the Compur Rapidspeededfrom 1-500. It works sweetly at all speeds.
The Superhas rangefinder focusing to 2.5 feet using the extended wheel at theend of the top plate. The split image rangefinder is accurate,although the lower image is a bit dull & you need to get youreye in to see it. It is still ok for focusing.
Often onthese cameras the film advance and interlocking is troublesome onthis one it works perfectly, & an old test film is included.
There is adepth of field table on the rear (no wear!), & a foldingstand/foot on the bottom. The front door opens & latches well(often they do not stay closed, but on this one it latches well). Thechrome is good, with a little tarnishing to the back locking catch.
Overall itis in good condition, with nice chrome & leather. The bellows areperfect. It comes with its leather case.
