TOUGODO HIT STEREO w CASE BOX VIEWER w SLIDE working mechanisms VINTAGE 5743 This is a vintageHit Stereo camera w/ beautiful original case, viewer and presentation box produced by Tougodo in Tokyo in 1955. There are B and I settings (1/25), fixed focus lenses and the rims are inscribed COATED S-OWL A F=4.5 cm (a meniscus lens). There is no diaphragm iris but Waterhouse Stops on a sliding plate. There is a switch to change between single and stereo. It has a space to attach a tripod onto the bottom of it. It measures165 x 77 x 60 mm and weights 1 pound 2.3 ounces. This is the two red window version and takes 127 film.I will describe the operation of this camera to the best of my ability but please ask if you have any specific additional questions and I’ll do my best to answer.Viewfinder: clear (there is a tiny fleck on the inside front glass – however there are super tiny flat head screws that attach it and I’m sure someone with the proper tool could remove this and remove the speck as it does not appear to be a scratch at all -I added a very close image of this).Lens: Clear with no obvious damageAperture: noneShutter: operableMeter:noneFlash: no flash present however there is a spot where one could be attached.9-16 STOP dial is operable.Beautiful leather case.Box has been repaired over time with tape but mainly on the inner portion. One edge repaired on the outer red portion but not seen from front view of box (beautiful stillfor presentation purposes).Viewer has one detached hinge on front right attachment beneath the eye piece. Please see and enlarge photographs for cosmetic condition!I rate this at EX++ (only in bright light the front silver near the words STEREO HIT has perhaps some mild possible cleaning / buffing presence but not easily noticeable). No nics or physical damage. It has not been film tested. Will be glad to combine shipping!
