SuperbVOIGTLANDER STEREOFLEKTOSCOP with triple Heliars
TheVoigtander Stereoflektoscop was made from 1914 to 1937. This is theimproved second version made from 1923-29 which had a much improvedStereo Compur shutter, & an added optical viewfinder. This is oneof the last of that series with lens numbers indicating it was madein 1928/29. It has a beautifully engraved hood. It takes 45x107mmsized plates.
Thethree lenses are all Heliar 65mm f4.5. Serial numbers are 421473 &421274, & the viewing lens 421286. All are optically clean.Apertures are set on a ring around the central lens. The cameranumber 78263 is engraved on the top of the body.
TheStereo Compur shutter is speeded 1-250 & works well at allspeeds. A curved lever above it sets MBZ time & instantaneous. Acocking lever is below. There is a rise & fall movement on thefront panel.
Focusingis from 1.5 metres to infinity, set on a knob on the cameras end. Thefolding viewfinder hood flips up & accurate focus can be set. Aspirit level on the ground glass helps get the camera level. There isa folding optical viewfinder on the camera end with a hinged opticalrear sight.
Themagazine back has a full set of glass plates installed. When the endis pulled out the front plate drops to the back & the stack movesforward. A frame counter is fitted. To change the magazine a slidingcover is operated by a slider on the rear. It all seems to work well.
Overallthe camera is in superb condition. The leather has a really nicegrain texture. All the black enamel is excellent. This is one ofthose cameras that has had very little use & has retained itslovely original condition. See the photos. You will not easily findanother as good as this.
