ROLLEIFLEXOLD STANDARD OUTFIT IN CASE Superb Condition
This is aRolleiflex Old Standard in really nice condition. It takes 12pictures 6×6 on 120 rollfilm.
This camerahas the serial no. 329236. The Old Standard was the first 6×6 leverwind Rolleiflex. This is the Type 1, which was the only version withan f3.8 lens (later types had f3.5 or f4.5). It was made only from1932-34, & the lens number on this one dates to 1934. It also hasa red window on the base is for B2 film.
The lens isa highly respected coated Carl Zeiss Tessar 75mm f3.8. Its no. is1537218. It is optically excellent. The shutter is the classicCompur, speeded 1-300. It runs sweetly at every speed. Shutter speed& aperture are viewed in a small window above the top lens the engravings are clear & bright.
The camerahas a crank operated lever wind on the side. Just load the film &wind on until the number 1 appears in the red window. Press thecounter rest button, then it is all automatic. It all works well.
Thefocusing screen is clean & bright, & the mirror is excellent& does not have the usual loss of silvering. The sports finderhas gunsight styling. In the centre is a tiny round mirrorwhen you can see your eyeball in it, you are correctly aligned unique!!!
The camerais in better than usual condition for an Old Standard. The black &nickel parts are bright with no wear. So are the exposure tables onthe back of the camera & inside the hood. The nameplate has atiny bit of tarnishing but everything is otherwise excellent. See thephotos.
Itcomes complete with its original leather drop-in coffin case.There are two Proxar 1s & a Proxar 2 in the lid, plus a yellowfilter & cable release. It also has its original lens caps. Andthe instructions. A lovely collectors item!
