Rolleiflex Old Standard model 6RF 621, with Rolleiflex leather ready-case. This is the second generation of the second TLR model Rolleiflex produced, between 1932 & 1935 fitted with the compur 1/ 300th of a second shutter. Only around 32000 were made.
I have had this camera for about 1 year now and have used it quite a few times, the images it produces from the 75mm Ziess lens are stunning as can be seen in the pictures, especially for a camera which is over 80 years old!
I am only selling as Im trying to thin out my collection and I dont shoot medium format very much. The camera has performed faultlessly for me, although I cannot confirm the accuracy of all the shutter speeds and apertures etc it has never failed to perform as I expected. The waist level finder is clear for a camera of this age (dont expect it to be bright indoors), there is dust on the inside (as to be expected with a vintage camera) but I have never found it to effect the image quality that much, with most shots being very clear. The taking and viewing lens are un-coated so require careful handling, but are in good condition with no scratches. The film winds on smoothly and the shutter action is crisp.
The only things to mention are some missing paint and a couple of marks (not dents) and the patch of leather on the focusing dial has come off, for its age however its in remarkable condition.
This is a stunning piece of photographic history if only for its age, its survived and documented over 8 decades and is ready to take pictures straight away. Although it would benefit from a professional CLA if you wanted it like new.
