This little beauty fits into the palm of your hand (97 x 32 x 58 mm -270 grams) and yet it delivers excellent full frame 35mm images.Its areassuringly solid metal camera, with its collapsible Carl Zeiss lensfolding into the body to save space. Its a Carl Zeiss OberkochenTriotar, maximum aperture f:3.5 with a 40mm focal length and itscapale of delivering phenomenal results google around and youllfind lots of examples of folk whove been impressed by itscapability.This is despite thefact that the 35LED was manufactured in Singapore to keep down thecosts and it was produced as a budget model.Despite that, it hasa fully coupled lightmeter, with under/over/correct exposureinformation displayed in the clear bright viewfinder.Theres 3 LED’s, 2red ones to show if the exposure (set via the handy shutter speed andaperture rings) is over or under, with a green one lighting up toshow when youve set the correct exposure.This means that youhave full control over shutter speed (from 1/30 to 1/500 sec. and B.)as well as the depth of field via the aperture (from f3.5 to f22).Focusing is manual.Ive not used itin ages but when I first started using it, it functioned well and wasa delight for candid photography as its extremely unobtrusive. 35mm film (andprocessing) is readily available through the lomography site as wellas other sources and this will make a great introduction topocketable high quality film shooting or a must-have for your cameradisplay.
