A Ricoh 500G classic 35mm rangefinder with a Rikenon 40mm F.2.8 lens, fully working and in nice condition with signs of light use, no dents or scratches, just very light scuffing here and there.
All functions are working, the lens looks undamaged with no visible haze or fungus. A small amount of internal dust is likely to be present, most unlikely to affect image quality. The viewfinder is clean and clear, the small rangefinder patch is bright and easy to see, the rangefinder is accurate with good vertical alignment, and the metered aperture and frame lines are clearly displayed. The light seals have been replaced. Self timer and flash shoe and terminal are working. The shutter priority metering takes a single standard 1.5V button battery and works well, returning good exposures. Manual mode is fully mechanical but with metering in the finder. I used this camera for slide film back in the day, but it’s been stored for some years, however I’ve run a scrap film through and the film advance, rewind and frame counter all work properly.
It comes with the original lens cap and a third party case.

Viewfinder: Combined viewfinder/rangefinder. Fixed bright-frame parallax marks. Needle pointer display of aperture selection. “M” appears when the camera is set to manual.
Lens: Rikenon 40mm f/2.8. Tessar-type 4 elements / 3 groups. MFD: 3 ft, 4 blade aperture down to f/16.
Shutter: 1/8th to 1/500th + B. 10 second self-timer. Cable release socket in shutter button.
Exposure Metering: Coupled above the lens CdS cell. Automatic shutter priority, or fully manual with metering.
Film Speed: 25 to 800 ASA. Filter Size: 46mm. Flash: X-sync hotshoe with separate PC socket.
