Vintage Ross Ensign Selfix Snapper
6×9 Folding camera, 620 film, 1950s

Designed to take 6×9 images on 620 film is a viewfinder camera with a cast metal body in a grey crackle finish
Most came in this finish but some were made with either black, green or burgundy top and bottom cover. This one has the attractive burgundy trim
Nobody is sure whether these were special editions (e.g. Jubilee, Silver Wedding…) or simply just a variation.
The centered optical finder is clean and clear. The lens is a simple meniscus, mounted on a 2-position – B & I – shutter. Focus distances are marked “yards-metres”. This being the second version of this camera it is now marked N and B (Normal and Bright?).
An accessory shoe has been added.
The Selfix Snapper dimensions are 9 x 15.5 x 3.5cm (closed) or 9 x 15.5 x 13cm (opened).
