VINTAGE CLASSIC POLAROID SONAR AF 5000 INSTANT CAMERA, ITT FLASH UNIT & CASE – USING SX-70 FILM – TESTED & WORKING.
This is an opportunity to purchase a VintageClassic Polaroid Sonar Autofocus 5000 Instant Camera, ITT Flash Unit andCase – Using SX-70 Film – Tested and Working.
Serial No: DNB928AA.
Some minor cosmetic wear but overall in very good condition.
This all black model built in the US dates from 1978 and is nonfoldable SX-70 Polaroid camera.
It has a single element 103mm plastic lens with a fixedaperture of f/14.6, Sonar Autofocus and shutter speeds of 1 – 1/150 sec.
There is a choice of automatic or manual distanceadjustment (0.9 m – inf.) and an exposure compensation dial around the electric eye, whilst a counter window indicates how many photos are remaining in the cartridge. There is a red ‘ready light’ indicator built into the eyepiece and also a tripod socket. Both auto and manual focus are working as they should.
When shooting in low light or indoors, a flash unit/flash bar has to be inserted into the socket on top of the camera. Comes with an ITT Magicflash Flash Unit (uses 4xAA batteries – not included) which is working as it should.
The camera has beenthoroughly cleaned as have the rollers to verify that they are rotatingfreely.
Has been tested with an exposed/battery unit (not included) to ensure that the print ejects correctly and that the flash fires.
The 5000 works with any SX-70 speed film which is readily available on eBay as well as the ‘Impossible Project’ (now rebranded asPolaroid Originals).
To complete the set there is an adjustable neck strap, Polaroid Case and instructions for both the camera and flash.
It is ideal for lomography, street photography or travel.
