Selling a rare and collectible item, the vintage Photo Sniper kit, which is for use primary with Zenit cameras – or any M42 mount camera. Made in the USSR back in the mid 1970s. The set is complete and very well kept.
It comes in sturdy black metal case with real leather handler, all in excellent condition and with all original accessories. Please see pictures.
Set contains:- Tair-3-Phs f4,5/300mm lens (immaculate condition),- Helios 44-2 f2/58mm lens (very good condition, no fungus or dust, except for the oil on the aperture blades!)- Zenit ES 35mm camera,- zoom sniper holding gun with straps,- 5 coloured and UV lens filters for 300mm lens (excellent condition), – 2 lens caps (for 300mm and 58mm lens),- rubber lens hood for Tair 300mm lens,- 2 empty film cassettes, – 2 screwdrivers.
The main photo sniper set, the holding gun and 300mm lens, has been very rarely used, Zenit camera and Helios 58mm lens were regulary used.
Zenit ES camera seems to be in good condition, everything seems to work, the shutter fires fine but I haven’t tested it with film. It is modified type Zenit camera for photo sniper.
With some effort the photo sniper set (holding gun with 300mm zoom lens) can be modified for any M42 mount camera. Or you can simply use that excelent Tair f4.5/300mm lens as a zoom lens without the holding gun. This lens is I guess the most precious part of the whole collection!
Please see pictures carefully for what is included. Again, nothing has been tested lately, but it all worked when last used years ago.
Very clean condition and cared for extremely well over the years.
Instruction manual in PDF in English is included with purchase.

IMPORTANT: Please bear in mind that it is a very heavy item, weights almost 6 kg, so the postage costs for overseas are pretty high. For UK and most of Europe it is 20 GBP, but for USA and Canada it is 40 GBP. Or simply ask before bidding.
