The ME F was the first attempt by Pentax to offer an autofucus system. It was introduced just in time for the wedding of Chas and Di in 1981.
It is rather unusual to find an af lens for sale and this one is in good clean condition: I haven’t been able to test it as the unit requires three types of battery to operate! The glass is clean and the barrel moves smoothly and easilly.
The mirror in the body is locked up but the winder works and sound lovely. I don’t know that it is, but if power is supplied to the lens and body from the winder unit (there are three connector pins) then both need attention as they are not responding.
The kit is sold as not working but, like the Tyranosaurus Rex in the Natural History Museum, would make an interesting display piece.
