An Olympus OM40 35mm SLR, with a Zuiko 50mm F/1.8 standard lens and a Vivitar 28mm F/2.8 wide angle. A versatile manual focus camera with switchable matrix metering, programme, aperture priority automatic and metered manual modes, with no need for fiddly manual adaptors. It’s more capable than the OM10 or even the OM2. It runs off two standard 1.5V button batteries.
Everything is in full working order and good cosmetic condition with signs of light use. There is minor scuffing and bleaching of the rubber grip material but no stickiness.
Exposure metering is accurate. The shutter works on all speeds and the curtains appear undamaged. The viewfinder is bright and very clean. Film advance and rewind and the frame counter all work properly, as do the self timer and flash shoe. Mirror bumper and light seals are in good condition.
The lenses have external signs of very light use as pictured. They have smooth focusing and snappy 6 blade apertures. Optics appear clean and undamaged, free of coating marks, haze and fungus, with minimal internal dust. With original front caps and third party rear caps.
The camera comes with its original instruction manual and Olympus accessory leaflet, and a nice clean Olympus strap.
