For sale is an Olympus AZ-1 Zoom “point & shoot” compact 35mm camera & fresh battery – film tested.Made in Japan from 1987, it is also known as the “Infinity” in the USA. It was the first of the range of Olympus’s zoom 35mm compacts. It is in good condition with some minor/ light usage marks/ scratches to the surface/ plastic. There is no damage, cracks or chips to the plastic. Please see photos for these condition details. The glass Olympus lens (7 elements in 6 groups) is clean & clear of fungus, bloom or scratches. When switched on the lens comes out & folds away all working as is should. The flash with multiple modes is working on the various settings. The viewfinder is clean & clear & easy to use and not at all dimmed by grime or dust. The lens zoom 35 to 70mm with viewfinder zoom mechanisms & the auto-focus are all working as they should. Has macro auto-focus down to 60cm.The shutter & aperture mechanisms (the max apertures F3.5 – F6.7) are working & it looks/ sounds correct changing in various lighting conditions. The automatic film wind-on, rewind & 12 second self timer mechanisms are all working as they should. It has a”quartz” data back for imprinting the date on the film, I have not tested it & it looks like it is missing the cap/ lid for the battery compartment in the inside of the film door. The LCD screen is working well with no “bleeding”.It has DX coding for film speeds between 25 to 1600 ASA/ ISO.It takes 1X 6V CR-P2 battery, comes with 1 battery in its packaging only used to test the camera, the battery compartment & contacts are clean, but the battery door is a little loose (it does close tighter with a battery fitted), I think it is missing a part of the latch (this could be taped to secure it closed if needed).Any questions welcome, for further details/ photos or postage options please email me. I will combine postage & ship worldwide.
