No “condition is used” description here! Please read in full and enlarge pics.
This is in well above average condition but it is not film tested so has to go to someone willing to take a risk or with the skills to repair or use parts. I am describing to the best of my ability and it could be better or worse than I suggest!
Meter – appears to be fine – red flag appears in low light and shutter will not depress. In varying light conditions / adjustments the aperture / speed appears to respond correctly.
Inside – very clean but needs new bottom seal. Very small paint chip in film chamber – no corrosion
Outside – very good. One corner ding pic 3 visible from side / front but only just from top.
Light corrosion along grey metal strips – pic 8 shows example – this is a particularly bad section making it look worse than it is in real life! Outline of oval “passed” sticker between viewfinder and winder. Some light fingernail type scratches top (above the 3 on serial number pic 8) and underneath around winder.
Basketweave covering – no chips, cracks but colour a bit patchy.
Underside and top – really good – all controls working
Shutter – was sticking open when first used but has got better and better with testing to the point it always closes correctly in good light.(But might stick again) However when camera is on “orange” settings (Flash to 3.5) there is a small opening after firing shown in pic 2. This closes with film advance. In good light the shutter closes – see pic 6
I am not an expert on this camera – it could be better / worse / different to my description in the hands of someone who knows it.
However I have attempted to fully describe what you will get and this is sold as a gamble or for repair/ spares with no return. Having said all this it looks better and is certainly more fully described than other listings! You “pay yer money and take your chance” but hopefully I have minimised your chance of a let down on this.
Will send well packed day after payment. Overseas ok with eBay Shipping (but I can’t refund ebay costs if lost!) If there are virus postage issues I will refund or hold this for you – your choice .
