The camera is in very good cosmetic condition for it’s age and is in full working order.
I have “dry” tested this camera with an exposed 35mm film and the film transport mechanism has no issues.
It is very clean both inside and out.
There is no damage apart from age and use related wear. Some top plate areas show light brassing of the black finish.
The base plate has the usual marks associated with putting the camera down on less than perfect surfaces.
A look beneath the photomic finder reveals a very clean focussing screen and prism.
Inside, the reflex mirror is perfect as is the mirror damper.
Light seals are intact and in good condition also.
Removeable film door detatches and mounts easily and without issue.
The viewfinder is bright and clear and shows f numbers when tested with a 50mm lens
(no lens included).
The side mount accessory holder allows (incorporates the film rewind knob) the mounting of a flashgun and I have included the flashgun that came to me with this camera. It is a National (think Panasonic) PE-250s which I have tested with the camera.
The flash charges very quickly and uses 4x AA batteries – I am including a brand new set that I used to test it.
Overall condition of flash is very good with a slight scuff to the flash body.
I have also fitted two brand new LR44 batteries into the camera to power the light meter.
This was and still is a pro quality camera that is made with high precision of all parts.
The camera comes to you with the DP-1 photomic finder, 2x LR44 batteries and it’s original leather neck strap which is in good condition and appears strong.
National flashgun with 4x AA batteries.
There are no instructions for the camera but can be found online as a download.
Please look up the Nikon F2 online as it has more specifications than I could possibly list here.
