A NIKON F PHOTOMIC + NIKKOR S-C AUTO 50MM F1.4. STUNNING, NEAR MINT CONDITION.PLEASE READ THE SMALL PRINT AT THE FOOT OF THE PAGE BEFORE BIDDING. This is probably the best one of these you will find anywhere, so prepare for some major interest in this gem.This camera is almost unmarked and everything works. All speeds work, slow speeds work, fast speeds don’t ‘drift’ or ‘cap’. Mechanically, this seems to be as good as it gets. Not recently serviced, but it hasn’t been used in many years and stored in perfect conditions.Top plate and metered prism, virtually unmarked, near mint. Focus screen has a few specks, that’s all. Very clear. Meter readings are accurate against my known light source. All external paint work on body…fantastic…no wear and near perfect. Base plate 98% perfect and without any obvious marks. Internal paintwork is near mint, but not quite. Edges of base plate, minuscule trace of handling, near perfect. Leatherette…all perfect, no wear.The lens. All glass is perfect. No scratches, Haze or Fungus and no signs of cleaning…Brilliant! A random dust speck may be evident….it’s old! Do NOT attempt to dismantle if you think you will make it better. LEAVE IT as it is, you will only put more dust inside!! The focusing is smooth with a little Nikon ‘Whisper’. All paint is superb with a hint of handling only. All numerals are perfect, no wear. ‘Notch’ at f5.6 for lens removal and attach. Mirror, near perfect. The overall camera looks near perfect and unlikely to find a better one? The case is Leather and in excellent condition. The originall style lens cap is included.This is a first rate item, very rare in this condition and an absolutely stunning example. Note that it has not been recently serviced. This would be a fantastic Nikon F to be added to a professional Nikon collection…even for a Nikon Museum, it is THAT good!
