NIKON F IN CHROME – 1969 – EXCELLENT!*A STUNNING EXAMPLE OF THIS SEMINAL SLR!* A gorgeous example of THE legendary SLR, a seminal design offered in chrome finish! In all probability, the most admired camera of the last 100 years, along with the Leica M3, the Nikon F is a giant among cameras. The quality of this design is obvious as soon as you pick one up, a full manual camera, built to the most fussy professional standards, and the professional staple for two decades, at home in the studio, but built to survive jungles and war zones. Many, if not most of the defining images of the last 50 years have been shot on a Nikon F. The F exhibits a level of quality which is simply unavailable today, it is not for nothing that any portrait you see of a war photographer from the early 60s onwards, will feature at least one Nikon F body slung around their neck.This example bears a January to February 1969 serial number and is finished in the traditional black and chrome. Despite being 48 years old. This professional camera remains in excellent condition, it has obviously been used sparingly and very carefully looked after, remaining in excellent original condition. All features are tested working, including the timer and mirror lockup, while the back is removed and replaced easily and without fuss. The telltale for any F body, the base plate is in excellent condition, with just a few very light surface marks.
