Apparently, if you’re a woman, then this is the camera for you! The Nikon EM was designed for and marketed to the growing market of new women photographers then entering the SLR buyers market. Im 99.9% sure if you’re a bloke it will still work.. and you wont be any less masculine for it. Unless you take photos of pink fluffy unicorns.. then the jury is out.
In all seriousness though, this is a lovely camera, with full auto, bulb or M90 settings. Fully serviced with new light seals, and a 50mm f1.8 prime lens. The camera is also fitted with a low-light exposure warning in the form of an audible ‘beep’.
Camera and lens both in excellent condition and fully working. Looks clean apart from a few minor surface marks to cosmetics.
Intended to be fully automatic, Nikon’s philosophy that a camera must always work when called upon resulted in the EM’s backup ability to operate without batteries albeit in a limited fashion. M90 mode which is 1/90 second, or Bulb. Also when the battery is removed, the “Auto” setting produces a shutter speed of approximately 1/1000 sec.
