Remote ok, batteries are full. Camera has to be set to RC mode for the remote to work.
Zoom and auto focus are smooth, work ok.
The auto zoom feature of this one is a very weird thing to have on a camera, one of the reasons this camera is quite peculiar. Fortunately this feature doesn’t interfere too much with your shooting. It tends to try and help with framing with portraits, but you are pretty much better off using the camera in 40mm mode as that yields much better photos.
Battery is inlcuded. It is used but the camera doesn’t report low charge when in use.
