This is a vintage Minolta compact 35mm film camera
The model is the Minolta Hi-Matic E
It is from the Hi-Matic series of rangefinder cameras first introduced by Minolta in 1962
The E model was released in 1971, it features a Minolta Rokkor-QF 40mm 1:1.7 lens and a Seiko shutter controlled by the Cds-meter
The camera originally took 2 x RM640 mercury batteries, which are now not available, the camera is supplied with 2 new A640 mercury-free Alkaline replacement batteries
The camera is a compact size at 124 x77 x 60mm and weighs under 600gms and is supplied with a Minolta lens cap
The camera is tested and is in full working order; the meter works; the self timer works; it fires a flash; the rangefinder is bright and works well; the lens optics are clean and free of scratches and fungus and the camera has had new light seals fitted
The camera is also in excellent cosmetic condition, with minimal signs of use
