Here for sale is near mint condition (almost no signs of use) Minolta Autocord twin lens reflex camera from the 1960s. It takes the still widely available 120 size roll film and gives 12 exposures of 6x6cms. This is a late model from the 60s rather than the more common one from the 50s. It features better lens coating for increased sharpness and contrast. The lens is free from scratches, fungus and haze and has very little internal dust. The shutter and delayed action work properly but absolute accuracy is not guaranteed. The focus control is smooth with just the right feel. The screen and mirror are in excellent condition. New light seals of the correct material have been fitted. Film winds through correctly with good spacing of the negatives. I ran the same roll of black and white film through this camera and a Rolleiflex 3.5E with a Schneider Xenotar lens. Aperture for aperture the results were very similar except the Minolta gave slightly higher contrast! I should sell the Rollei and keep the Autocord but I am too much of a camera snob! The real leather ever ready case is in fantastic condition but missing its retaining screw. This is not really needed as the straps keep the case in place. The straps are unique to this camera and are often missing and are virtually irreplaceable. A genuine Mintolta lencap is supplied. Even the original instruction booklet is included. Everything will be very well packaged for next day Special Delivery (UK). Overseas postage is also available. Only the true value will be marked on the parcel to ensure correct insurance.
