LEICA M5 with VOIGHTLANDER NOKTON 50mm F1. 1
A fantastic camera here, selling only because it hasn’t got any use for around a year and I’d much prefer it go into the hands of someone who would use it often. Cosmetically the camera is in great condition, and when last used it all worked well, I have fired it at every speed and everything seems in order with the film advance and rewind mechanisms working properly. One minor issue is the film counter, it seems to have come a little ajar so the arrow doesn’t point exactly on each number, rather it gives a brief indication of how far into the roll you are, this has never caused me any trouble. The viewfinder guides are bright and clear, and the focusing spot is accurate.
Also included is a fantastic Voightlander Nokton 50mm F1. 1 lens. The lens is cosmetically in brilliant condition, aperture blades are responsive and there are no flaws such as oil, fungus, dust, etc. A very sharp lens that is more than capable in lowlight capabilities due to its surprisingly low minimum aperture of F1.1 and a maximum aperture of F16. The lens is quite large in size and does intrude slightly into the viewfinder guides, partly obscuring the users view (please see photo) I never found this to be much of an issue as it only covers a small section on the bottom corner and by slightly moving the camera to one side whilst composing the corner becomes visible and then you may return the camera to the original position for the shot. A small compromise for the lenses low light capability in my eyes. Lens cap is included.
This is a great buy for anyone looking to own a Leica that they can shoot straight out the box, the M5 is a reliable and much overlooked model that holds it weight against Lecia’s more popular models. You are buying from a pet free and smoke free home. Thanks for looking, any questions do ask.
