Leica IIIF Red Dial – good condition and working but slow speed knob is stuck

This is a Leica red dial IIIF N 636832 in great physical condition. I had it serviced in 2017 by Newton Ellis & Co (see invoice) when the rangefinder mirror was replaced to give a strong image and everything was calibrated, this cost almost 200 pounds. The shutter is hole free (see test photos taken in strong light). The only problem is that the slow speed dial is stuck and the little knob to unlock it has broken off. This camera can be used as it is, in which case it is a great IIF equivalent, or repaired. I have too many cameras and not enough room and I can’t justify the cost of a repair so I am selling it. The winding spool is present (original I suppose) and a very nice leather half case is included, as is a strap.

This is a great camera for someone who wants a reliable Barnack cheaply but isn’t worried about slow speeds.

Test images were rangefinder focussed and taken with a 50mm Elmar (not included) on 30/06/2020.
