I am selling this superb movie camera as part of my ‘thinning out’ of my many cameras.This top of the range 8mm Pocket Bolex is offered in excellent condition, together with the exquisite and superfast Switar 13mm F0.9 ( # 734018) and its counterpart the very fast Switar 36mm f1.8 (# 915573). Described in a magazine of the time as (‘…..3 of the finest 8mm lenses in the world’ – the third being the Kern Paillard Switar 5.5 f1.8). The latter is not part of the sale.For many years my camera of choice because of its ease of casual use and the sharpness of images on film even during projection.Bolex collectors will be aware of the sophistication of this camera with its professional features such as 7 filming speeds of 12, 16, 18, 24, 32, 48 and 64 fps; the variable shutter and film rewind facility for professional effects such as fades, lap dissolves, and faster shutter speeds when shooting fast action shots; variable focal length viewfinder and built in lightmeter with meter setting calculator.The camera body (# 987190 – late model no.) cosmetics are extremely good. All functions operate correctly and it winds and runs smoothly.Lenses are in superb condition with aperture and focus rings turning as they should and the glasses/coatings are excellent. Cosmetically, no scratches, dents or dings.The camera comes with its original Instruction Manual and service card. Both like new.
