Konishiroku Snappy Sub Miniature Film Camera. This sub-miniature camera circa 1949 made by Konishiroku (the predecessor of Konica) carries the Snappy trade mark. Made in occupied Japan in the immediate post war years and bears the stamp to this effect on the rear leather camera panel. It takes 10 14x14mm exposures on 17.5ml paper backed roll film (not supplied). Production finished in the early 1950’s. This camera is complete with its leather carry case and also the original cardboard box but minus the box lid unfortunately. The camera itself is in very clean undamaged and lightly used condition and is not ceased up. The leather panel coverings are in good clean undamaged condition. The leather case is in pristine condition with no scuffs cuts or damage. All in all a lovely example of this very collectable type of miniature camera which has an appeal both for working photographic enthusiasts and collectors of such novelty items of interest. This particular camera was purchased in Japan by my grandfather, an army officer who served in the Korean war and who brought it back as a souvenir.
