The Kodak Specialist camera model 2 is a half plate stand camera which can be primarily used with either plates or sheet films. It is primarily intended that a 203 mm (8inch) Kodak Ektar f/7.7 lens be fitted, but any lens of suitable type, mounted on the standard panel, may be used. The camera incorporates all the necessary movements required for technical photography and is of substantial construction. Materials used for the manufacture of the camera are well seasoned hardwoods and metal alloys chosen for strength and lightness. Antique silver enamel on the hardwood, and stain chrome plating on the material parts provide an attractive and durable finish to the camera.
