Wood hand cranked 35mmmovie camera lens. Bausch and Lomb Zeiss Tessar 50mm f 3.5 to 32 patentedFebruary 24, 1903. The serial number dates it to around 1914.  I dont imagine there will ever be another wood hand cranked35mm movie camera lens on eBay, especially one in this condition. Ive beensaving this lens for years while looking for an early wood hand cranker to putit on. Williamson, Darling, Urban, Charles Urban, Sterling or Warwick Tradingcompany cameras all had one of these lenses in the beginning. It was the top ofthe line lens for its day so it was used on several other lesser known makestoo. For those of you that buy early uncoated cine lenses toremount to DSLR and mirror less cameras please be prepared to bid quite highfor this lens as there are early hand cranked camera owners that know this maybe their only chance to get a lens from this period.  There is no reserve sohigh bidder will win this auction. If you bid $10 and it holds up to the end ofthe auction it is yours AND THE SHIPPING AND INSURANCE IN THE USA IS FREE. Bidlike you are only going to pay the final closing price because that is all thatyou pay on this auction. Priority mail through the US Post office, signaturerequired. And again it will be through the USPost Office. If you are in Europe, you will have to pay shipping andinsurance on top of the final auction price. Well deal with that at the closeof the auction.    I didnt take a lot of pictures. I have nearly 1000 positivefeedback. You can trust what you read and see in my auctions. I should know not to shoot pictures of lenses on Terry Clothbackgrounds. I started with a really clean lens and didnt see all the microlint bits that got onto the lens… Dont let that distract you. This lens is astoundingly clean. The glassis clear and has only the faintest cleaning marks. Its over a hundred yearsold and has no element separation and no fungus. This lens will make an old35mm movie camera a shooter again. The iris is smooth throughout its entirerange, 3.5 to 32. Helical focus is smooth throughout its range too. The focuslock is still in place. Its quite rare that the focus lock is still with anyof these lenses. If you have a 35mm wood hand cranker that is in need of a lensthis may be your only chance to get a lens for it. I took the picture of the1921 silver dollar through this lens with my iPhone. Not exactly what one wouldget on film but a good representative of the clarity of the glass in this lens. Almost all the people that win my auctions use a sniperbidding system. The sniper bidding systems will bid for you in the last threeseconds and wont miss. I use a sniper bidding system myself.
