The Halina 35X is a compact viewfinder camera made by Haking in Hong Kong (China). It is a copy of the Ranger 35 made by Nihon Seiki. The lens is a 1:3.5 / 45mm Halina Anastigmat (triplet, front and rear elements single coated, middle element uncoated). The shutter has speeds 1/25-1/200 seconds plus B, while the apertures range are f/3.5 – f/16.

The camera’s back and its bottom are one part which has to be removed for loading a film. The shutter has to be wound up before each exposure with a lever on the lens tube.

On the bottom the camera has the imprinting “Empire made”, which is a historical reference to British rule of Hong Kong in the 1950’s. Haking produced the 35X for its own brand Halina and for the brands Micronta and Sunscope.

The very good condition camera has been tested and is fully working. It comes with the bottom part of the original ever-ready case, which is good condition. The focus is slightly stiff, but works.
