Goerz 2 inch Hypar f/3.5 vintage hand cranked35mm motion picture camera lens Its around a hundred yearsold and in great shape. No lens element separation and no fungus. As with mostlenses of this vintage it has some carbon flecks in the glass but I wouldnthesitate to shoot with it. This model lens is listed inthe Mitchell Camera catalog from 1922 and cost $75 then. It was most common touse this lens on a Pathe 35mm motion picture camera. I also see this model lensfor a Pathe listed in the Cinema News magazine from 1915. The picture of the quarter Itook with an iPhone through this lens. Not exactly what one would see on filmthough. The iris works well. I wouldclean this lens interior by easily unscrewing the front and rear elements andlubricate the iris while in there. Hopefully the craze of buyingthese early movie camera lenses and remounting them into a modern DSLR stillcamera mount is over. We have lost so many lenses to this craze that finding alens for a movie camera that is in need of one is nearly impossible these days. I often find that the winners of myauctions use a sniper bidding system that bids in the last three seconds. I useauction stealer myself seeing as I lost a great deal on an auction do to someunforeseen glitch so I missed bidding in the last ten seconds. No reserve on this. Noreturns so bid accordingly. The auction site makes it such apain to figure shipping and then takes a percentage of the shipping cost andPayPal takes more percentage on top of that so I just dont want the hassle.Ill pay the shipping.
