DescriptionThis is a chance to own a super quality Victorian table-top stereoscope dating to circa 1860. It was made with the finest materials by Smith Beck & Beck, one of the greatest makers of optical and scientific equipment. The viewing box can be adjusted for height and focus and sports the number 1747. The original lenses are free of damage and optically sound. The top has a mirror which can be angled to bounce more light onto card views and the back is open to enable the viewing of glass or tissue views. The viewer comes complete with a sectioned cabinet with storage for both the instrument and multiple stereoviews. This is just one of a number of interesting items on offer this month.
