Lenses are designed for taking Photographs!
Not for shining torches through.
Dont expect to see crystal clear optics if you shine a torch through an old lens!
You will see internal reflections/ghosting etc.
If you want perfection. Buy a new one…..

Fungi needs warm humid conditions to propagate. Keep your kit dry,
Dont store your gear in its mangy old case for extended periods. This is a sure fire way to encourage fungi!
Fungi needs food to grow, this ” food” is the old Petroleum based lubricants in old lenses.
Newer lenses use Synthetic lubricants. Fungi does not like this.
