A rare Durst Automatica 35mmViewfinder Camera in good condition considering age as made from between 1956 until1963, with Schneider Radionar 2.8/45mm no.6875525 and case – an attractive and beautifully designedcamera. The light meter is responsive and everything moves at it should so mybelief is it still works all fine. However as per pics there is slightuplifting of black leather as expected with something used of this age, alsostrap is not present on the carry case Comes with Cenei lens hood E32x0.75 asper pics (note I cannot locate original leather case for this item ).Additional Information: Model: Durst Type: Automatica Serial number: 72010Im notexactly sure of the worth to be totally honest, have seen non working foraround $100 on ebay and anything from $200 to $500 in Europe but open for discussion. So prepared to post overseas for $55 AU$ as will need to be tracked / signed for
http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/Durst_AutomaticaThe Automaticais a 35mm viewfinder camera, made by Durst SA of Bolzano, Italy, from 1956 until 1963. The lens is acoated SchneiderDurst Radionar 45 mm f/2.8 in a special Prontor SVS shutter. This has speeds 1- 1/300 second, plus ‘B’, and an automatic setting, allowing the shutterspeed to be controlled by the selenium meter via a part-electronic,part-pneumatic mechanism,[1]giving a very early instance of aperturepriority automatic exposure. This is the same mechanism used by Agfa in the Automatic66, although there are some differences; for example, on the Automatica, the film speed is set on the shutter body, whereas in the Agfa camera thissetting is on the meter in the camera’s top housing.
